Security and Privacy

Pierry Inc.’s web site uses security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control, which may include email addresses, home addresses, social security numbers, telephone numbers, and consumer information. We store the information in a database in a secure environment. We will never share, sell, or rent individual personal information with anyone without your advance permission, unless ordered by a court of law or if we receive a valid judicial instruction from law enforcement.  Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you e-mails based on your requesting information.

In providing certain services to business customers, Pierry, Inc. may gain access or control, or come into possession of, personal data and relationship data of the customers or suppliers of our business customers.

We store personal information such as email address, telephone number or billing details for so long as you continue to have a business relationship with us and for a reasonable time thereafter for record keeping purposes. In the case of personal information that we receive from our business customer, we store such information until the conclusion of that relationship, or for as long as is required to complete a particular project for that business customer.  You may ask us to delete that information by contacting us.

Newsletters

You will be added to Pierry Inc.’s email newsletter list only if you are a current customer or you register to receive newsletters via a form on the Pierry Inc. website. You may opt-out of receiving our newsletters by clicking on the opt-out link included in every email newsletter we send.

Blog

If you use our blog feature on this site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit in a publicly-viewable blog comment can be read, collected, or otherwise used by anyone who reads the blog or who visits the URL of the blog post you have chosen to comment on. We are not responsible for non-Pierry Inc. use of this information.

Customer Information

We post customer testimonials, work examples, and quotes on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information such as the customer’s name. Prior to including this type of content on our site, we obtain the customer’s consent.

Web Beacons

In order to determine a user’s ability to receive HTML email in addition to whether or not an email has been opened, Pierry Inc. includes a “web beacon” in a majority of the HTML email messages we send. A web beacon (actually a small .gif image) is activated when an HTML email is opened via a request for the image on our servers. This capability, provided by Salesforce Marketing Cloud (fka ExactTarget), helps us send email in a format users can read and enables us to track the aggregate number of emails opened. The web beacon does not collect any personally identifiable information. Users that do not want to receive email messages with web beacons can choose to receive their emails in text (non-HTML) format. We also use the capability to track when a URL has been clicked inside of an email message sent by Salesforce Marketing Cloud. We use this functionality to track which links were clicked and in what quantity, as well as the aggregate number of links clicked. This click tracking functionality does not collect any personally identifiable information.

Cookies

Client-side cookies are used to verify the login status of customers using products or services linked directly with our website. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site; however, the user may not be able to access all areas of our site.

Links to other Websites

When we transfer your information to third party companies (e.g. analytics or web hosting vendors), we will ensure they maintain the same level of security as us. In all cases liability remains with Pierry Inc.

Choice

You may opt out of receiving any marketing materials or the use of your information for purposes other than which it was originally collected
